A Plane Disappeared and Landed 37 years later
Ladies and gentlemen, this is captain speaking. Welcome aboard Flight 914! Please fasten your seatbelts and observe the no smoking sign— we will take off in 5 minutes. When we’re at the cruising altitude, refreshments will be served to you. Our flight will take 37 years. I wish you a pleasant trip. What would you do if you went on a vacation to another city and suddenly found yourself in another country altogether? I guess more adventurous types would even enjoy such a change of plans, but most of us would be confused. Anyway, I bet even the most reckless of adventurers would at least raise an eyebrow if told they’d flown for close to half a century. On July 2, 1955, Pan American Flight 914 made its way from New York to Miami, Florida. It was a fine sunny day, and 57 passengers on board the plane were looking forward to seeing the warm beaches and palm trees of Florida. The plane took off without trouble, but 3 hours later, when it should’ve already landed at the destination airport, it was nowhere to be seen. Radars of the control tower in Miami didn’t show any approaching aircraft, and no distress signals were received either. When air traffic control contacted the New York tower, they got a perplexing reply: Flight 914 just disappeared from the radars in mid-air. Everything indicated that the plane was lost: apart from having vanished from the radars, air traffic control couldn’t get through to the pilots with the radio. The DC-4 simply vanished in thin air, leaving no trace of itself or any of the people on board . Investigation was started right away. The flight route took the plane over a part of the Atlantic Ocean, and it seemed that the only explanation of its vanishing was that It crashed somewhere along the way. Rescue teams were deployed, the Coast Guard was scanning the waters, but still no luck. Not a single piece of the lost plane was to be found. Investigators could only shrug their shoulders in dismay: 61 people (passengers plus the crew) just blinked out of existence along with a huge flying machine. Eventually, although the case was never really solved, there was an official statement that the plane crashed, taking the lives of everyone on board. But despite numerous — and understandable — questions from the grieving relatives, no one could say what really happened to Flight 914. Until 37 years later, at least… Change of scenery. It’s now September 9, 1992, and we’re in Caracas, Venezuela. It’s a perfectly normal day for Juan de la Corte, air traffic controller at the Caracas airport. He turned up at work, made some coffee, and took his seat, overlooking flights. He was giving some minor comments on a flight in progress when something weird happened. Seemingly out of nowhere, a new dot appeared on the radar. It was as if an aircraft had just popped up from nothingness, or as if it had been hiding from the radar and now decided to show up. Either way, it was a strange thing to see near a civil airport, and de la Corte checked the readings several times, thinking at first that it was a mistake. It wasn’t, though: the readings were correct, and soon he and his colleagues were able to see it with their own eyes. In less than 10 minutes, the culprit showed up in the field of vision. At first it looked to the air traffic control like an ordinary airplane, but as it got closer, they could see that it was, in fact, very old: a DC-4 McDonnell Douglas passenger aircraft, still with propellers instead of modern turbines. Such planes were still in use, but they’d grown obsolete and mostly replaced by more contemporary ones. But that wasn’t even the beginning of weird. The real confusion began when the pilot of the mysterious aircraft contacted the tower and asked in English, “Where are we?” As the one in charge at the time, Juan de la Corte replied they were closing in on the Caracas airport and asked where the flight was headed. There was a pause on the other side, and then the pilot answered, “We are Pan Am Flight 914 heading from New York to Miami, Florida, with a crew of four and 57 passengers on board.” This took the air control completely off guard. What was a Pan Am flight doing 1,100 miles away from its point of destination? And how did it even get there? De la Corte was quick to ask a few more questions to the pilot, and what he heard next baffled him. The pilot said his flight was scheduled to land at the Miami airport at 9.55 am on July 2, 1955. Now it was time for the tower to fall into silence. Before asking anything else, not to make matters worse, air control cleared the plane for landing. De la Corte didn’t know what to make of the pilot’s words — perhaps he thought he went insane, but that was irrelevant since there were people on board the mystery airplane. He had to make sure they landed safely, and decided he would ask questions when they did. Ground units were immediately called to assist the plane and the passengers, and it landed without trouble. Having relaxed a little bit, Juan finally decided to ask something that bothered him. “Do you know today is May 21, 1992?” Another pause that ensued told him it was a huge mistake to say that. As the ground crew approached the airplane, the pilot’s bewildered voice on the radio said, “What are you talking about?” When de la Corte heard that, he knew he would have to order security guards to go to the plane and escort the passengers and the crew. However, as they were moving towards the aircraft, the pilot did something nobody expected. Juan heard the flight captain’s panicky voice saying, “No! Stay away! We’re leaving now!” And indeed, he started the engines again and, without waiting for take-off clearance, taxied the plane to the runway. Juan tried to stop him over the radio, telling him he was creating a dangerous situation, but the pilot didn’t respond. He simply drove to the runway, accelerated, and took off. For some time, the plane could be seen in the air, soon it only appeared as a dot on the radar, and then… it vanished again. No words could describe the shock Juan de la Corte and his colleagues at the air control tower were in. They’d just seen an old airplane appearing out of nowhere, the pilot telling them he was headed to Miami, and before they could do anything, it flew away again, only to disappear in thin air like it had been a collective hallucination. No trace was found of that plane ever again, and to this day, no one can explain what happened that morning in Caracas. Sniff sniff. Smell that. Smells kinda fishy right? I must say, though, that there’s much dispute about the credibility of this event. Back in 1985, a tabloid called Weekly World News was the first to cover this story, and yes, I’ve just said 1985 — seven years before the most popular version appeared. Later, the same newspaper retold the story twice more, only with other details, and with 1992 set as the date of a time-traveling aircraft appearing in the future. The picture of Juan de la Corte, the air traffic controller in Caracas, also differed from the 1985 original. So the story was largely announced fake, and it became a sort of an urban legend. However, the legend still lives, and many sources retell it in their own way. Some even go as far as to say that the passengers of the plane eventually returned to their homes, and strangely, none of them looked a day older than 37 years prior, while everyone they knew grew old at a humanly pace. They say doctors examined the pilot, the crew, and the passengers but couldn’t find anything out of the ordinary — the people were healthy. This part doesn’t look even remotely credible, though, because no solid piece of evidence can be found about 61 people returning from a decades-long flight. I mean c’mon, wouldn’t they have run out of snacks? One thing that keeps popping up on the Internet and piquing the interest of paranormal enthusiasts is a small pocket calendar that somehow was left on the Caracas airport runway when the notorious plane took off. The thing about it is that it’s from 1955, and it allegedly remains the only artifact of that weird encounter. There are still people who claim the calendar is real, but once again, there’s no actual proof of its existence. Ah well, who knows, maybe it’s just a tall tale, an urban legend indeed; or it could be a huge conspiracy to hide the fact that time travel is possible. I guess we’ll never know. Wink wink. And what do you think? Was Flight 914 really lost in time for 37 years, or is it all just a hoax? Let me know down in the comments! If you learned something new today, then share it with a friend. But – hey! – don’t fly away just yet! We have many cool posts for you to check out.
They Found a Ship That Disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle 90 Years Ago
What's the most mysterious and blood-chilling place on Earth? The first thing that comes to my mind is the infamous Bermuda Triangle! This area earned its terrifying reputation by swallowing countless ships and airplanes, leaving no trace behind. But recently, the Bermuda Triangle has added another mystery to its record: Cuban coast guards came across a ship that had gone missing more than 90 years ago! It was November 29, 1925, when the S.S. Cotopaxi left Charleston, South Carolina, and headed for Havana, Cuba, carrying a big load of coal and 32 crew members. The story has it that several days later, the steamer ran into a violent storm, got water in its hold, and started to tilt dramatically. On December 1, the ship sent out a distress call, and since then, nothing was ever heard from the crew again. The ship seemed to have vanished into thin air... until 2018! On May 18, the Cuban coast guards announced that they’d come across a ship that wasn’t answering their calls. Since it happened close to a military zone with limited access, it caused a bit of turmoil. The mysterious ship was nearing the island west of Havana, and seemed to ignore all attempts by the coast guards to communicate. That's why three other vessels surrounded and blocked the intruder. To tell you the truth, even at first sight, the ship looked bizarre. Rusty and run-down, it seemed to drift mindlessly, without any destination in mind. And when the crew climbed on board the ship, which indeed seemed to have been abandoned for decades, they found nothing but more oddities. First of all, there was not a living soul on board. It baffled the guards to no end: a ship sailing across the ocean, unmanned and uncontrolled? But that wasn't the only abnormality they found. However unbelievable it may sound, upon closer inspection, the coast guards realized that the discovered ship was S.S. Cotopaxi, lost in the waters of the North Atlantic Ocean almost 90 years before! What gave it away was the chief's logbook, related to the Clinchfield Navigation Company, which was the very company S.S. Cotopaxi belonged to. After Cuban experts confirmed the authenticity of the logbook, researchers got super excited. And no wonder - now they could finally find out what happened to the ship in 1925! Unfortunately, pretty soon, they realized that the logbook wasn't living up to their expectations. It contained tons of interesting information about the everyday life of the ship's crew, but nothing at all about what caused the disappearance of the massive ship. On December 1, 1925, the entries in the book simply came to an abrupt stop. It was the very day when the ship sent out a distress call and then stopped replying to any radio signals. So, as you see, the mysterious finding brought more questions than answers. If S.S. Cotopaxi sank almost 9 decades ago, how did it reappear on the surface? What happened to the crew, and how did they disappeared without a trace? And finally: does the finding mean that the Bermuda Triangle has started to return the prey it’s been collecting for centuries? But the worst thing about this discovery is... that it might have never happened! Soon after this breaking news appeared in different mass media sources, too many people started to question the truthfulness of the story. Not only did it seem too unbelievable to be real, but there was also no convincing evidence that the ship had been found in the first place. There were indeed numerous photos of a rusty steamer on the Internet, but was it S.S. Cotopaxi? Unlikely. That's why there's probably no use in combing through the Atlantic Ocean in search of other long-lost vessels and planes just yet. On the other hand, over centuries, there have been so many mysterious disappearances in that area that the chances are high that you'll find one or two ships that fell victim to the infamous Triangle. Maybe it’ll be the Patriot, a passenger schooner that left Charleston, South Carolina, on December 30, 1812, and headed for New York City. The ship, which had Theodosia Burr Aston on board, the daughter of former American Vice President Aaron Burr, went missing soon after departure, and no one ever heard from the schooner again. Or you may come across S.S. El Faro, a much more recent disappearance. This cargo ship left Jacksonville, Florida, on October 1, 2015, with 33 crew members and countless vehicles, trailers, and containers on board. The 790-ft vessel was supposed to deliver its load to Puerto Rico, but something went terribly wrong. A violent tropical storm that started miles away suddenly transformed into a powerful hurricane that rushed toward El Faro. It started to circle around the cargo ship, making communication from the vessel go silent. But the most shocking thing was that after causing all this turmoil, the hurricane miraculously retreated in the same direction it came from! Weeks later, after a thorough and extensive search, rescuers finally located the ship; it was still in one piece and sitting upright on the bottom, at a depth of 15,000 ft. But the blood-chilling truth was that there was no trace of any of the crew members on board. The Bermuda Triangle had already gained popularity in the 15th century when Christopher Columbus documented weird compass readings and bizarre lights in the area. Its nickname, "Hurricane Alley," speaks for itself. The weird thing about the Bermuda Triangle is not that too many ships and planes disappear there (after all, it's the menacing and unpredictable Atlantic Ocean!), but that in most cases, even if the wreckage is found, there are no people on board, living or not. One of the most infamous Bermuda Triangle disappearances of all times was USS Cyclops, a huge carrier ship that used to supply fuel to the American fleet. On January 8, 1918, heavy and full of Manganese ores, the ship departed from Rio de Janeiro and headed for Baltimore. Being only a few years old, the ship shouldn’t have experienced any problems, and all 309 people on board felt safe and calm. But this feeling turned out to be deceptive, because somewhere around March 4, 1918, the ship disappeared into thin air, without sending out a distress call or indicating it was having problems in any other way. In the history of the U.S. Navy, it remains the accident which caused the largest loss of life at sea. As for airplanes, probably the most inexplicable disappearance happened on December 5, 1945, and got the name "The Lost Patrol." Flight-19 was the code name for 5 bomber planes that flew from the naval base in Florida on a training flight. No one knows for sure what happened to the planes, but they never returned to the base. Most experts believe that the commander of this group, Charles Taylor, got lost and led the planes in the wrong direction. Those machines could land on water, so, hypothetically, after getting low on fuel, the pilots could ditch and wait for help, rocking on the surface of the ocean. But that didn't happen. Although two rescue Martin Mariner planes were searching the area all through the night and the next day, they found no trace of the five disappeared planes. But the most spine-chilling coincidence was that one of the rescue planes failed to return to the base as well! All 6 planes vanished into thin air as if they’d never existed! There’ve been several other plane disappearances when the aircraft went off the radars and never returned. In some cases, pilots had time to send out a Mayday distress call. In others, they disappeared at the blink of an eye when everything seemed to be going perfectly fine. Well, no doubt, it all looks very suspicious, and the notoriety of the Bermuda Triangle might be well-earned, but think of this. The area of the Bermuda Triangle varies from 500,000 to 1,510,000 square miles, depending on the person describing the anomalous zone. Besides, it's one of the most heavily traveled routes in the world, with thousands of vessels crossing it to get to the ports of Europe, America, and the Caribbean. On the other hand, only several dozen ships and planes have been lost in the Bermuda Triangle over the last centuries. I mean, if you think about it, it's not that much more than in any other dangerous area of the Ocean, right? Do you know any other exciting stories about the Bermuda Triangle? Let me know down in the comments! If you learned something new today, then give this video a like and share it with a friend. But – hey! – don't go anywhere just yet! We have many cool posts for you.
Milky way Crashed Into Another Galaxy But Earth Survived
Get ready for a “crash course” about the Cosmos! Astronomers believe that in 4.5 billion years, a powerful galactic collision will occur, and we, or our descendants, will have a chance to see it! The Milky Way galaxy, which is the home to our Solar System and the very planet we live on, will collide with the Andromeda Galaxy. Sounds exciting, right? But it looks like it won't be the first time that the Milky Way collides with another galaxy! But let's start from the very beginning. Bang! No not that far back. In 2018, the European Space Agency finally released the most detailed map of the Milky Way galaxy and the neighboring stars! All this became possible thanks to the Gaia mission, which is a super precise space telescope. It was launched in December, 2013, with the ambitious purpose to draw a 3D map of our galaxy. Since the telescope started its work, it’s collected tons of information, cataloged over a billion stars, and calculated the distance and the motion range of more than 2 million stars. But that's not all. In 2018, astronomers were scratching their heads, looking at new data received from the Gaia mission. It seemed like the telescope had just discovered a new galaxy orbiting the Milky Way! It was named Antlia 2, and baffled astronomers to no end. First, the newly discovered galaxy was incredibly huge. It’s about the size of the Large Magellanic Cloud, another satellite galaxy of the Milky Way, which reaches a whopping 14,000 light years across! But at the same time, the Antlia 2 is very faint - 10,000 times fainter than the Large Magellanic Cloud (aka LMC). On top of that, it's extremely diffused and well-hidden by the galactic disk (which might be the reason why it hadn't been detected for so long). But it seems I'm getting ahead of myself once again. The thing is that galaxies get orbited by other, smaller galaxies just like planets get orbited by their moons, and stars get orbited by planets. Our home galaxy, the Milky Way, also has several of its own orbiters. Unfortunately, the only satellites you can see with the naked eye are the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds. As I've already said, Antlia 2 is too faint for you (or even the most experienced astronomer) to spot, but it might have influenced the Milky Way much more than scientists previously thought. Recently, a new study claimed that the very same Antlia 2 is responsible for bizarre ripples disturbing the hydrogen gas in the Milky Way's outer disc. The astronomers who conducted the research believe that the disturbances you can see these days could have been produced when the Milky Way collided with Antlia 2 hundred millions of years ago! By the way, even though astronomers have known about the ripples for several years, thanks to Gaia, they managed to see this phenomenon in greater detail. On the other hand, before the space telescope transferred the information about its discoveries to Earth, scientists didn't connect the Milky Way's hydrogen gas activity with Antlia 2. Nope, there were other theories. In 2009, astrophysicist Sukanya Chakrabarti and her colleagues concluded that there was a dwarf galaxy located right in the area where Antlia 2 was later discovered. Then, after the new data was received, the team calculated the trajectory Antlia 2 was bound to have in the past. They conducted several simulations, and voila! These simulations produced not only the current position of the dwarf galaxy, but also the ripples caused by the collision of the two galaxies. Before this research, another group of scientists had stated that the agitations on the outskirts of the Milky Way resulted from our galaxy's interaction with another of its satellites, the Sagittarius Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxy (Whoa, what a name! I’m not saying that again!). But later, it turned out that the gravity of the “Long name I won’t say” Galaxy wasn't strong enough to cause the ripples or influence our galaxy in any other way. On top of that, it seems that over time, the Milky Way has absorbed loads of the material Antlia 2 consists of. Admittedly, some of this material could be transferred via tidal interactions of the dwarf galaxy with the Milky Way. But the rest of the material could have been absorbed by our galaxy when the two collided about 1 billion years ago. If this theory turns out to be accurate, astronomers around the world will be over the moon. And no wonder: this way, they’ll be able to trace the history of Antlia 2, and probably get some answers to the dark matter question! The dwarf galaxy's weird diffused state can mean that there’s dark matter present in that region. If it's true, the region is likely to turn into a unique space laboratory for Earth's scientists to play in! But in any case, the next time Gaia will release new information is in a year or two. When it happens, astronomers will hopefully be able to draw the final conclusions. But let's talk about the collision that, according to astronomers, is yet to happen in several billion years or so. At least we have some time to brace for the impact! There might be not one, but two galactic collisions; and the first is likely to happen around 2 billion years from now, when the Milky Way collides with the Large Magellanic Cloud. This spiral of stars and dust is hanging out there somewhere, 200,000 light years away from our galaxy. And although right now you have nothing to worry about, in approximately 2 billion years, the two celestial bodies are likely to collide. So put that down on your calendar. I think it’s a Tuesday… And what a view it's going to be! Imagine the Milky Way nearing the smaller galaxy. The supermassive black hole residing in the center of our galaxy wakes up and starts to gobble up the LMC's stars and gas clouds with eerie enthusiasm. Thanks to this new food, the hole grows 8 times bigger than it is now and probably even turns into a quasar, which is one of the brightest things you can find in the Universe. Here, on Earth, people are standing still, dumbstruck by the sheer beauty of this phenomenon. Cosmic fireworks are coloring the sky, and our newly awakened black hole is emitting long jets of super bright radiation. If the black hole does turn into a quasar, it’ll be an even more breathtaking view. The thing about these celestial bodies is that their light can be up to 10,000 times brighter than the light coming from the whole Milky Way galaxy! That's why the Earth's night sky might get a new shiny decoration. But that won't be the end of it. The newly born quasar will get rid of some stars and send others flying billions of miles away from their orbits. As a result, all the constellations, as we know them, will disappear from the sky after the familiar stars get too far away for us to see with the naked eye. But hey, don't get so upset! The good news is that the collisions, and the potential appearance of a quasar, will have no effect on our planet! What's more, even the quasar's radiation won't manage to disturb the peace of the Solar System. And the chances that the Sun will get knocked out of the Milky Way are infinitesimal. Which means very small. But how about the collision with the Andromeda Galaxy? Will our Solar System survive this catastrophe as well? Right now, the Andromeda Galaxy is nearing the Milky Way at a speed of 68 miles per second. As you may guess, it's very hard to figure out its actual speed, and until 2012, researchers hadn't been sure if the collision was going to happen or not. Unfortunately, it turned out that we had to prepare for the appearance of Milkdromeda or Milkomeda - a structurally new galaxy, consisting of the merged Andromeda and Milky Way. On the other hand, such collisions aren't something out of the ordinary if you consider the super long lifespans of the galaxies. Besides, even though the Milky Way is home to more than 300 billion stars, and the Andromeda Galaxy contains more than a trillion, the chances of several stars colliding during the galaxies' merge are really low. The reason for that is simple: stars are located too far away from each other. For instance, the closest to our Sun star, Proxima Centauri, is more than 4.2 light years away, which is about 30 million diameters of our Sun. In simpler terms, if the Sun was the size of a ping-pong ball, Proxima Centauri would be the size of a pea located 680 miles away, and the entire Milky Way would be 19 million miles wide. As for other stars, can you imagine ping-pong balls hanging in space every 2 miles? Great, now you have a miniature model of our galaxy! Anyway, returning to the collision with the Andromeda Galaxy: there’s a 50-percent possibility that it would move our Solar System three times farther from the galactic core than it is now. But, if 4.5 billion years from now, there’s still some life on our planet, it won't be affected by the collisions in any way. And if that becomes a problem for you then, come see me, and we’ll work something out. But we’re going to be really old… Now it’s your turn. What are your ideas about the collision of the Milky Way with another galaxy? Let me know down in the comments! If you learned something new today, then give this video a like and share it with a friend. But – hey! – don't get all star-struck just yet! We have May posts for you check it.
If you see this, Run fast and ask for help
if you see these run fast and ask for help there are so many different animals in the world that nobody even knows the exact number of existing species some of them are beautiful and some are ugly however not everything is as it seems because the ugly ones may be safe and the beautiful ones can be deadly or not for example this caterpillar looks like somebody dropped their wig by accident it's not very big but it's very hairy you might think that because it's hairy it's tender to touch but don't let that fool you in fact if you touch the hairs they will penetrate your skin and sting you Wow that doesn't seem fair now does it according to the experience of other people the pain is unimaginably bad so stay away from this caterpillar if you can however if you get stung doctors recommend washing the area use soap and water but be very careful not to press the spot because this will make the poison spread faster after you finish washing the sting put some ice on it to reduce the pain if the pain doesn't go away within the next 30 minutes or so go to the hospital immediately we think caterpillar pus looks too gross to touch it and we hope you agree with us now we're gonna tell you about 12 other animals that you should run from as fast as you can if you ever encounter them in the wild counting down from
number 12 Deathstalker well the name says it all this is the deadliest scorpion of all to give you some perspective the Deathstalker is responsible for 75% of all victims of scorpion attacks usually it doesn't kill healthy adults they only feel terrible pain but it can easily kill children if they are stumped they have a fever coma and finally they can't breathe because the lungs are filled with fluids if this kind of scorpion still doesn't seem awful enough to you how do you like this they can demonstrate cannibalistic behavior if they can't find other food they can also eat snakes if they win the fight the only way to survive being stunned by this scorpion is to go to the hospital immediately isn't this fun
number 11 carpet Viper here comes another champion carpet Viper is considered to be the deadliest snake because it kills the biggest number of people yearling the way it kills is really curious in an awful way it injects some toxin into the blood of the victim this toxin doesn't let the blood clot so the victim just bleeds to death
number 10 cone snail now this snail is so dangerous that one drop of its venom is more than enough to end 20 human lives the worst thing about it is there is no cure or some kind of antidote if it stings you you are dead whatever you do it is also known as the cigarette snail because it's poison kills you as fast as it takes you to finish one cigarette hopefully you don't smoke so that you'll have time for something more important
number 9 stone fish this thing looks like a stone see now there are two things you need to know about this fish first if you confuse it with a rock and step on its spikes it will poison you and you will lose your leg that's actually the best case scenario the stone fish is very economical it injects the amount of poison proportional to the pressing weight the second thing is it takes the stone fish just 0.15 seconds to react to a moving object another fish or your leg to open its mouth and bite it so losing the leg is really possible so watch your step whenever you are in the ocean
number 8 Africanized honeybee this kind of bee is very different from all others because Africanized honeybees are actually a result of an experiment woohoo a Brazilian man was trying to make a new breed of bees and actually let them out so these bees are more aggressive than regular bees maybe because they know they were genetically engineered and are pissed off about it and they can chase their victims for very long distances their poison is not dangerous than the one that normally more friendly bees have but if you get stung by a large number of them you should see a doctor anyway
number 7 Brazilian Wandering Spider because they don't have GPS do you know why the most venomous spider in the world is called Wandering Spider the thing is that unlike other spiders it is often found in places full of people especially in the daytime you can find them in houses or even in cars now we wonder how Ron Weasley would react to such news
number 6 Black Mamba you may have heard about this snake its name is pretty popular Quentin Tarantino gave this code name to the main character in Kill Bill now this snake is known as the most aggressive snake of all you know usually experts say that when you see a snake the best course of action is to move away from the snake as slowly as you can otherwise it might think you are a threat and attack you which is probably the last thing you want to happen however Black Mamba is very different it can attack you even without provocation some people think that it kind of enjoys it anyways if it bites a person and he or she doesn't get an antidote in the next 30 to 50 minutes they will die the poison shuts down the nervous system and paralyzes the victim
number 5 poison dart frog if this frog looks beautiful it's hard to deny that however don't let this beauty deceive you this frog doesn't even need to bite you to poison you it has poison on its skin you see this is how it works in nature whatever is the brightest is the most dangerous never touch or even come close to something you want to touch in the wild including the dart frog oh isn't he pretty let's just touch it Oh see that doesn't work does it
number 3 in our cavalcade of killer critters is the blue ringed octopus this octopus is tiny but as you might have guessed really deadly it kills its victims in a very cruel way it bites the victim and injects a poison into the bloodstream after that the victim gets paralyzed within a few minutes which of course means they can't breathe the only way to help a person in this case is to start artificial respiration and continue to do it for the next few hours until the effect of the poison wears down
number 2 Komodo dragon these guys are really good hunters they can wait for their prey in a hideout for a long time after they detect the prey they chase it eat out the throat and wait till the victim bleeds to death hmm boy most humans are lucky because Komodo dragons live mostly in places where humans don't and they don't need to eat very often well that's a good thing and
number 1 the most dangerous varmint out there according to our list box jellyfish this is the most dangerous living thing on earth after mosquitoes that transmit malaria of course its venom kills so fast there is nothing you can do just to be safe avoid all jellyfish that you see while swimming on the ocean or the sea oh it makes you just want to go to the beach now doesn't it anyway we decided not to tell you what to do if any of the described species attacks you in their own way for only one reason the only thing you can do is go to the hospital immediately even if you don't think that whatever attacked you is dangerous for your health see a doctor you know better safe than sorry otherwise the only surefire way to never meet up with any of these critters is ever leave home. share this video with your friends so that they are also aware of the dangers and won't pet that pretty little caterpillar and click subscribe to join us on the 33facts.
Ancient Egypt: Did aliens build the pyramids?
Ancient Egypt: Did aliens build the pyramids?
The 3 great Pyramids of giza have towered over the capital of Egypt for a minimum of 4,500 years however their origin is shrouded in mystery. There aren't any elaborated records of their construction and therefore the refined strategies concerned in their style seem to be centuries ahead of time. Archaeologists have spent years attempting to decipher the mysteries of the traditional Pharaohs' burial places however area unit yet to even scratch the surface of the pyramids' history. The pyramids' enigmatic past has invited over the course of the 20th and 21st century a myriad of conspiracy theories regarding their construction.
The most outstanding conspiracy theory states the nice Pyramids were engineered with the help of extraterrestrial technology.
Other conspiracists believed alien UFOs imparted construction data on ancient Egypt so as to lift the monstrous structures.
The tallest of the 3 pyramids, the nice Pyramid of Khufu, looms over town below it at a height 455ft (138.8m).
The pyramid is calculable to be engineered from around 2,300,000 meticulously chiselled stone blocks, a number of that weigh in at more than 50 tonnes.
In 2001, Dr Viktor Ivanovich, a former man of science for Russia’s Kremlin, spectacularly claimed the Russian agency found ancient alien remains within the great Pyramid.
Speaking frankly in a eccentric documentary on the topic of the pyramids’ supposed alien origins, the man of science argued the information was hold on in Russian agency archives as early as 1961.
He said: "The presence of this creature and therefore the style of the pyramids, and therefore the whole pool of historical and scientific proof shows that this specific visitation transpire} about 11,000 years B.C..”
And on the History Channel series Ancient Aliens, conspiracy theorists went one step further by claiming alien guests designed pyramids on antarctica.
Conspiracy theory author David Childress said: “If this gigantic pyramid in continent is a synthetic structure, it might in all probability be the oldest pyramid on the earth and if truth be told it would be the master pyramid that every one the opposite pyramids on planet Earth were designed to seem like.”
Another conspiracist additionally same on the show: “All the means round the world we discover proof of pyramid structures.
“We ought to begin gazing the possibility there was habitation on antarctica.
“Was it a lost civilisation? might it's ancient astronauts?”
However, claims of any links between the pyramids and supposed alien astronauts are wide debunked by consultants within the field of archaeology.

Assistant Professor Matthew Peeples, the co-founder of the school of Human Revolution at Arizona State University, refuted all paranormal conspiracies regarding the pyramids.
The building technology is spectacular, however we don’t got to invoke aliens to explain it

The professional said the thought intelligent extraterrestrial helped form ancient civilisations here on Earth is that the single most outrageous archaeological narrative in popular culture.
He said: “These ideas aren't supported by scientific proof, however they’ve become so prevalent that many folks believe there should be one thing to them.
“To use the great Pyramids in Egypt as AN example, archaeologists have clearly shown however these structures slot in a broader tradition of smaller stone structures and earlier tries at pyramid construction.

A new dinosaur was founed in india
Rajasaurus Narmadensis
Rajasaurus Narmadensis was an outsized abelisaurid thereupon roamed ancient Republic of India, its name means that "regal lizard" or "King Lizard". It could grow to have grown longer than 7 meters, featuring one horn and a powerful build. It lived in India in the Late Cretaceous period, around 69 to 65 million years ago. Rajasaurus was closely associated with Majungasaurus, another abelisaurid from Madagascar, Associate in Nursing island that had separated from the Indian earth regarding twenty million years earlier.
Description
Rajasaurus was a quite large abelisaur discovered at intervals the Lameta Formation of southern Republic of India, on of fellow abelisaurids Indosaurus, Rahiolisaurus, associated an outsized titanosaur Isisaurus. R. narmadensis was noted from a partial skeleton together with a healthy bone (with an entire cranium and seventieth of the remainder of the bones recovered) hip bones and components of the hind legs, backbone and tail. In 2010, paleontologist Gregory S. Paul stated the creature to have grown 11 metres in length (36 ft). In 2016, then downsized the length to 6.6 metres. But more studies currently reveal that the abelisaur may have full-grown longer, probably 7.3-7.9 metres (24-26 ft) long, indicating that it absolutely was one in every of the most important abelisaur to have ever walk the Earth. It is estimated that it weighed around 4 tons.
Discovery
Rajasaurus was discovered within the Lameta Formation, close to the Narmada watercourse. It was found with a partial skeleton that included a nearly completed skull, spine, hip bone, legs, and tail. Rajasaurus, had a bone with thick frontals (4 cm thick) and one horn on its head, similar to majungasaurus's horn; it would have most likely be used for display. The head might are used for aspect butting, similar to what they suspect Pachycephalosaurus would have butted. This may have applied to different abelisaurids that had rough and thick heads. Rajasaurus lived along side two abelisaurids, the large Indosaurus(more information is needed) and smaller but sleeker Rahiolosaurus, and many sauropods such as the thick necked titanosaur Isisaurus. It is additionally suspected that a thyrephoran, specifically a nodosaurid, could have also lived in the Lameta Formation based on the chimera skeleton Lametasaurus. Rajasaurus would have had a comparatively strong bite supported its strong designed and huge head. Rajasaurus would presumably hunted young, injured or sick sauropods. Rajasaurus, since it might have been the dominant predoator of its ecosystem, had the choice of preying on other abelisaurids. The Lameta Formation in Rajasaurus's time was composed of open grasslands and Tropical forests.
The Dark Web: A nightmare possibility
The Dark Web: A nightmare possibility
The Internet may, at first, seem like a safe haven as it makes it easier for all of us to share the most personal information. But it’s really a double-edged sword, where the opportunity cost of convenience is cascading risks of crimes; around 400 children are victimised by cyber-crime per day in Bangladesh, as reported by human rights NGO, Ain O Salish Kendra, on May 19 this year. Put another way, the advancement of the legitimate World Wide Web has also led the illegitimate world of unethical “hackers” to mushroom on the other side. Since more people are increasingly using the internet (BTRC reported in 2018, that around 90 million people in Bangladesh use it), we need to thoroughly understand this electronic universe, spotlighting the cautionary tales.
To begin, the World Wide Web is divided into three layers; most of us “surf” only on the “Surface Web” (the one we see when we use Google). Everything on the Internet that cannot be found using public search engines is tucked in a private repository “Deep Web,” estimated to be around 400 to 500 times larger than the Surface. The chunk of cyber-assisted offline crimes (where victimisation isn’t merely virtual but rather in-person) cooks in the smaller (and shadier) subset of Deep Web called the “Dark Web”—also a treasure trove for illegal activities, such as trading all drugs imaginable, malware markets, guns, child pornography, and chillingly, hit-men hiring networks. These aspects should be enough for law enforcement agencies, especially counter-terrorism forces, to seriously keep an eye out on what’s happening on the Dark Web. To shrug this off would be a grave mistake. A 2018 report by a foreign policy think tank, Henry Jackson Society, entitled “Terror in the Dark,” revealed the growing usage of Dark Net by terror groups to recruit militants.
To those who are uninformed about it, the mysterious Dark Web may seem like it requires top-secret codes to enter. But it’s simply done by using a special software, TOR browser (The Onion Router), well-known for its ability to prevent online surveillance, which can be downloaded in a matter of 5 minutes without a fee. And this means vulnerable youth, face no issues finding their way to this dangerous land. But here’s the paradox: all websites on the dark web use .onion—instead of .com—encrypted to circumvent maximum user anonymity, and in turn privacy. So the dark web is by nature, more secure for everyone. And that’s a wrath-triggering drug for hackers, because it means they can commit crimes and the Internet will protect their worst interests.
Interestingly, since 2014, Facebook has had its own onion server, adopted for the added “security” that comes from hiding your IP address and location. If you open Facebook from Bangladesh using “facebookcorewwwi.onion”— it can appear that you’re in Sweden. Sounds like a great way to keep out the stalkers right? It’s ironically ear-candy for hackers, which inflates their self-confidence to a bullet-proof status. One such criminal, from Bangladesh—or perhaps a group of them but let’s pretend he’s one person and call him “Z”—has been chronically victimising many young adults with invincible crutches in the Dark Web.
Deploying a method called “phishing,” Z sends a malicious link to female victims, that opens a masquerade Facebook page, and then as the real account owners are about to login, he uses a “python script” to hijack the personal information and snatch control of the accounts. After phishing into the profile of A, a 17-year-old girl, who was one of his victims—Z entered her Facebook messenger chat thread with her boyfriend, B, also 17, and began blackmailing him (in Bangla) to send Tk 10,000 by 9pm. Or else, he threatened to publicly post—on A’s Facebook page, where her family and teachers could see—their intimate photos and videos which he had retrieved from the media shared between the two. Z quickly switched to messaging B on WhatsApp and the number he was using had a Latvian area code, meaning it was a “proxy” sim, that can be bought from the Dark Web to mask one’s footprints.
He even provided precedence, in screenshots, of the damage he had done earlier to a previous female victim who failed to meet his demands. This form of cybercrime where the perpetrator threatens to release sexual images, is called “sextortion.” As the clock ticked, Z started posting photos in “Part 1”, shortly following with “Part 2”, but he could still not be tracked, since the IP address of this too was obscured, using the Facebook onion server. Now, in this situation, what would these two teenagers have done? The correct response is to seek immediate aid, which they did by submitting a complaint to BTRC and calling their victim helpline, then calling 999. But not a single person picked up.
It gets worse though. B even went to Mirpur thana, where officers refused to even listen to the whole situation, let alone solve the problem. Thanks to the lacklustre system, around 10pm, the teenagers had to desperately manage cash, and fulfil Z’s wishes through a bKash agent. And when B returned home, he was scolded by his parents, who had not the slightest clue that their son was being harassed, abominably. Md Saimum Reza Talukder, lawyer in Bangladesh Cyber & Legal Center (BCLC), informed me that in almost 80 percent of the cases he dealt with, victims didn’t tell their families, and also didn’t want to file any complaint to police. Though the adults—parents and police—in this case, didn’t know how to react, the teenagers handled the perilous predicament, in the best way they could.
Yet, while victim-blaming might be the reason why we cannot address these issues, it’s a pervasive cultural transgression itself that won’t be solved anytime soon, and this “hacker epidemic” is not going to wait for it to stop. Sadly, for the time being at least, prevention is the only available cure. So it would be wise for young adults to refrain from leaving personal information on the net—in chat media files—for their own safety. On the other hand, in one of the cases BCLC received, a young boy in class 8 turned out to be a perpetrator, and thats what adults must start countering. But most parents of children I know, would interpret these horrendous stories to mean “the internet is poison,” and then restrict kids from using it. Not only would that be unrealistic, it’s also not even a valid conviction. Internet is not “unsafe” in design; the onion sites with its shield of encryptions is “safe,” but that feature is exploited by vile individuals. So the technology is not the problem. It’s the way certain human beings use it. And this is why we must break the silence over what goes on in the Dark Web.
One answer to this growing issue is Open Source Intelligence (OSINT)—a recent phenomenon used by security professionals to collect and analyse public information from various sources, and to track the social media handles of criminals on the dark web. Yet, that allows nefarious parasites to also access OSINT software to find your information from your phone numbers, birthdates, ID card images, posted on your social media handles, and then use that to harass you. Crime prevention pathways can be subverted to commit crimes, just like legal routes can be taken to harm people. This full circle is surely terrifying, but the point here is to highlight that dangerous things do happen, and pernicious communities do exist. And only with that awareness can we really do something about it.

Confessions of a Chicago Owlman
Confessions of a Chicago Owlman
The Owlman unerect behind the treeline, merely feet from the Franklins’ doorway, because the family unpacked their groceries.
He watched the kids gather by the TV as mum and pop started dinner.
He waited for his moment, patiently, like a hunter.
When dada picked up the rubbish and left the area, The Owlman stood up, cask the leaves from his feathers, and stepped ahead of the door.
It took a second for Dad’s smile to fade, as his lizard brain struggled to method what stood before it.
Slowly, his lungs swollen, anger gathering in his chest.
And during this moment, in this good area between heartbeats, The Owlman stretched his wings.
Dad’s shout shriveled.
The Owlman accepted this small primate’s concern like associate giving to a pagan god.
Then, the door slammed shut and conjointly the Owlman ran.
It wasn’t the primary time.
He’d been going enter costume for months, spooking individuals on the road.
Before that, he’d been defrayment the night perched abreast of his own roof, the apex predator of his yard.
He’d found his tribe that year, a social group of individuals UN agency don’t believe they’re human. Some believe they’re the reincarnated souls of mythological creatures. Finally, he’d understood the supply of his alienation. He wasn’t simply passionate about flying automaton cryptids… he was a flying automaton cryptid.

Mysterious Sea Creature Washes Up on Beach in Australia
Mysterious Sea Creature Washes Up on Beach in Australia
A weird sea creature was spotted by someone walking on a beach in Australia and locals are amazed at the animal’s bizarre appearance. On Friday, Cosy Seaside Escape shared photos of the mysterious creature on Facebook, which showed the animal “sunbaking” on the sand. The strange picture, which was taken at Golden Beach in Victoria’s Gippsland region, shows a catshark, a species of shark that is typically found on the ocean floor and eats small fish, Fox News reported. Even though these creatures have odd features, they’re not a threat to humans.
On Facebook, many people commented on the catshark’s features and thought it was cool to have the opportunity to see this animal, which doesn’t really come out of shallow areas, up close.
“That is incredible—nature at its best,” one commenter wrote.
However, there were some concerns over why this catshark showed up on the shore in the first place.
“I’m not sure if this is a good thing.. someone else spotted another one of these beached only a couple of weeks ago,” someone wrote below the post. “What’s going on in the deep sea that they are surfacing?”
“Look like it’s been beached,” another added.
Some catsharks also have the ability to glow in the dark to send messages to other catsharks: According to research published in Scientific Reports, two species of shark, the chain catshark and the swell catshark, can absorb the ocean’s blue light and re-emit it at less intense energy wavelengths, which cause the catsharks to take on a bright green color.
According to PBS, catsharks are found in warmer seas worldwide and they’re the most common type of shark in many tropical regions. They’re typically small in size and only grow up to 2.5 feet or less. Catsharks have elongated eyes that give them a feline-like look and they have from 40 to over 110 rows of teeth.
The Real Story Behind the parable of area 51
The Real Story Behind the parable of area 51
In the middle of the barren Silver State desert, there is a dust-covered unmarked road that ends up in the front gate of area 51. It's protected by very little quite a sequence link fence, a boom gate, and daunting intrusive signs. One would assume that America's abundant mythicized high secret military base would be below nearer guard, however build no mistake. they're look.Beyond the gate, cameras see each angle. On the distant top, there is a white pickup with a tinted screen peering down on everything below. Locals says the bottom is aware of each tortoise and hare that hops the fence. Others claim there area unit embedded sensors within the approaching road.
What specifically goes on inside area fifty one has junction rectifier to decades of untamed speculation. There are, of course, the alien conspiracies that galactic guests area unit tucked away somewhere within. one in all the additional colourful rumors insists the disreputable 1947 Roswell crash was truly a Soviet craft piloted by mutated midgets and therefore the portion remains on the grounds of space fifty one. Some even believe that the U.S. government recorded the 1969 moon landing in one in all the base's hangars.
For all the myths and legends, what is true is that area 51 is real and still terribly active. There might not be aliens or a moon landing picture set within those fences, however one thing goes on and solely a pick few area unit aware about what is happening more down that closely-monitored wind-swept Silver State road. "The tabu facet of area 51 one is what makes individuals need to understand what is there," says region scholar and author Peter Merlin who's been researching Area 51 for quite 3 decades.
The Origins of a Mystery
The beginning of area 51 is directly associated with the event of the U-2 intelligence operation craft. when warfare II, the Russia down the ideological barrier around themselves and therefore the remainder of the japanese alliance, making a close to intelligence blackout to the remainder of the globe. once the Soviets backed North Korea's invasion of South Korea in Gregorian calendar month 1950, it became more and more clear that the Kremlin would sharply expand its influence. America distressed regarding the USSR's technology, intentions, and skill to launch a surprise attack—only a decade far from the japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
In the early 1950s, U.S. Navy and Air Force sent low-flying craft on intelligence operation missions over the USSR, however they were at constant risk of being shot down. In November 1954, Dwight Eisenhower approved the key development of a high-altitude intelligence operation craft referred to as the U-2 program. one in all the primary orders of business was to trace down a far off, covert location for coaching and testing. They found it within the southern Silver State desert close to a flat referred to as Groom Lake, that had once been a warfare II aerial weapons system vary for Army air force pilots.
Making a story
U-2 testing began in Gregorian calendar month 1955, and now reports came flooding in regarding unidentified flying object sightings. If you browse the main points in an exceedingly 1992 Central Intelligence Agency report that was unclassified with redactions in 1998 (and afterward free nearly fully in 2013), it is easy to visualize why.
Many of those sightings were discovered by industrial airline pilots United Nations agency had ne'er seen Associate in Nursing craft fly at such high altitudes because the U-2. Whereas today's airliners will soar as high as forty five,000 feet, within the mid-1950s airlines flew at altitudes between ten,000 and 20,000 feet. illustrious military craft may get to forty,000 feet, and a few believed manned flight could not go any over that. The U-2, flying at altitudes in way over sixty,000 feet, would've looked fully alien.
Kelly Johnson, left, and Francis point of entry Powers with U-2 craft behind. Powers was eventually shot down within the USSR in 1960.
U.S. Air Force
What's conjointly fascinating regarding the foremost recent 2013 report is that it confirms area 51's existence. whereas the 1998 version will have vital redactions once referencing the name {and location|and site|and placement} of the U-2 take a look at site, the nearly un-redacted version from 2013 reveals way more, together with multiple references to area fifty one, Groom Lake, and even a map of the realm.
"This Is Earth Technology"
U-2 operations halted within the late Fifties, however alternative high secret military aircrafts continued tests at space fifty one. Over the years, the A-12 and various hiding aircrafts like Bird of Prey, F-117A, and silent BLUE have all been developed and tested within the Silver State desert. additional unclassified documents reveal area 51's role in "Project Have Doughnut," a Nineteen Seventies decide to study covertly obtained Soviet MiGs.
"They flew them [over area 51]..and faveolate our own fighters against them to develop ways," says Merlin, "They learned that you just cannot out-turn it, however you'll be able to run it. And it's still occurring these days.... Now, rather than seeing MiG-17s and 21s, there is MiG-29s and SU-27s."
The flights area unit ongoing. In Sept 2017, Associate in Nursing Air Force Lt. Col. was killed below mysterious circumstances once his plane crashed in Silver State and therefore the Pentagon wouldn't now ID the craft. It looks he was presumably flying a far off jet obtained by the u. s..
Even so, the alien conspiracies gained ground in 1989 once Bob sufferer claimed in Associate in Nursing interview on urban center native news that he'd seen aliens and had helped to reverse-engineer alien spacecrafts whereas acting at the bottom. several have forgotten this as fiction and area unit even displeased at the notion, together with Merlin, United Nations agency has spent years talking with former area 51 engineers and 51 infuriated by all the fuss regarding E.T.
